Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Yaard ("Yaard," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our website, applications, marketplace, and business-management tools (collectively, the "Services").
1. Our role
Yaard is a technology platform. We help homeowners discover and manage services from independent lawn-care businesses, and provide software tools to businesses and their authorized crew members. Yaard does not perform lawn-care services and is not the employer, agent, partner, or joint venturer of a provider or crew member.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide or generate through the Services, including account and contact details; business, employee, customer, property, service, quote, invoice, payment, review, message, and support information; photos and notes; and information needed to operate scheduling, route, and crew features. We may also collect device, log, cookie, and approximate location information. Precise crew-location information is collected only when a user or device authorizes it.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate, secure, support, improve, and personalize the Services; create and administer accounts; facilitate bookings, communications, payments, and business operations; detect fraud and abuse; enforce our agreements; comply with law; and send transactional or service-related communications. We send marketing communications only as permitted by law and subject to available choices.
4. How we share information
We may share information with the independent business and its authorized personnel involved in a requested or booked service; homeowners connected to a business through the Services; vendors that provide hosting, payment, communications, mapping, analytics, storage, security, and support services; professional advisers, insurers, and authorities; and a successor in a financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information for money. If our activities constitute a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable privacy law, we will provide any required notice and opt-out method.
5. Business customer data
A lawn-care business is responsible for the personal information it enters into Yaard about its customers, employees, and contractors, including providing any required notices and obtaining any required permissions. For that business-provided data, the business generally decides why the information is used for its own services, while Yaard processes it to provide and secure the Services and as otherwise permitted by this Policy and applicable law. Businesses must not upload information they are not authorized to use.
6. Payments
Payment card information is processed by third-party payment providers. Yaard does not store full payment-card numbers on its servers. We may retain payment-related records, such as transaction status, invoice history, payment-method metadata, and records needed for accounting, security, and dispute resolution.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, and analytics. You can adjust browser settings to limit cookies, but some Services may not work correctly as a result.
8. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain appropriate business records. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Privacy choices and U.S. state rights
You may update certain account information in the Services and may request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information where applicable. Residents of certain U.S. states may also have the right to opt out of targeted advertising, sales or sharing of personal information, or certain profiling. Send a request to support@yaard.online. We may verify your request before responding. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision within 60 days with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
10. Children and international users
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. The Services are operated in the United States. If you access them from another country, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other locations with different privacy laws.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy and update the “Last updated” date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
